Imagine that you are an entrepreneur or an entrepreneur who lives and works in Lombardy. Knowing other people who run a business like you, who face your same difficulties, working but also personal, and who maybe live in your own city or region can be of great help to share problems and find solutions, to compare yourself, to see things from other points of view.
Another example: you are a graphic designer looking for new job opportunities. At an industry event you met some people who work in companies that you like very much. You talked to them about your experience, you exchanged contacts and once at home you connected on the various social networks.
In the example above, if I were a graphic designer struggling with the construction of my work network, first I would try to create a relationship of trust with my contacts , I would give them the opportunity to get to know me through my publications on social media, I would follow the their posts and I would support their activities (maybe in their company they are promoting an important study or want to let them know that they have grown compared to the previous year), in case they asked questions on Facebook I would try to give some good advice, not only in public but also privately, to make the relationship even closer.
The possibilities to exploit Networking are many and if you ask me “Who is Networking for?” I answer you without any doubt: everyone! Yes, because whatever your profession, your work context, the city you live in, you may need a network that supports you; and on the other hand there will always be someone who shares your same problems and who may need a hand to make a project work.
